Koffeteria: Reviews & Ratings

Overall, the high rating is predominantly for the space itself. The indoor is cute enough with some bar seating. But the outdoor is really a nice quaint patio where you can have brunch with a pet and some friends. We popped in for coffee and some pastries. Unfortunately, we went around noon at which point almost all of the pastries were sold out. The coffee itself in the end was fine, nothing terribly special but did the job for coffee. There is essentially no free parking in the area (the shop itself has a few dedicated spots but I can't imagine these are open very often), so plan to have to pay for this.

I pre-ordered online the night before and picked it up the morning after, which I think is definitely the way to go if you want to snag the pastries you want to get before they run out. It's a small shop, fairly busy area. Parking wasn't difficult, but it was pay-to-park for all the open spots (the rest were full). We got the Mango Sticky Rice Danish, Baklava Croissant, and the London Fog Roll. All of the pastries were delicious. You do get what you pay for in terms of presentation and quality of the pastry - the dough in all of them were buttery, flaky, and laminated perfectly. I do feel that the Baklava Croissant was more of a baklava essence than baklava itself - the syrup was good, but I would have liked to have had more pistachio throughout the pastry rather than just chopped on top. The Mango Sticky Rice was good and held up well even with a lot of filling! The London Fog Roll wasn't quite what I expected (it said "rolled with citrus pastry cream" on the site, but no cream was to be found? A bit misleading if it was just referring to the bake itself) but was tasty and subtly sweet. The candied lemon peel was the real star of the show there. Overall I would recommend it if you are in the area for a good breakfast, but probably not worth driving out 20 minutes for and paying $6-7 a pop.

Trust them when they say they run out around 11A. We had to come back the next day AND wait in line once we learned this little gem. A line OUTSIDE. The coffee is delicious but it's the sweets for me. I still had a limited selection and soooo friggin good! This red velvet cinnamon roll looks crazy sweet but it isn't. I removed some of the icing and was good for this soft slightly crispy sticky bun and I wanted more. The Cookie (top) was good too! Some purple cookie with a yellow gooey center that stayed soft and delectable crushed in my suitcase.

Oh yeah!! Come early on weekends because it gets busy! Highly recommend the pastries and coffee here! Can't go wrong with any of them! All were delish! The hot kitchen items that we got were solid, but nothing to write home about! Plenty of street parking at around 9am and free on sundays! There's a nice outdoor seating area in the back since it's small inside.

Social media strikes again! A ad for this place popped up on my IG. So I got up early one morning and drove down to check this place out. Let me tell you about their cocoa nibs cold brew!! She is theee one! It really is the perfect combo of a robust coffee blend and the familiar but faint taste of cocoa. I loved it! I also trialed some of their pastries a ube cookie and a deep dish chocolate chip cookie. I like both pastries. The ube cookie didn't give the strong ube flavor I was expecting but still good non the less. And the CC cookie was good! Anywho trust me on the cocoa nibs cold brew. She's a winner!

This is one of my top favorite bakeries of all time. They are extremely popular so expect to wait in line. Location is in downtown area and parking can be a problem if you don't want to pay. That being said it is totally worth it! Everything I tried: Pistachio Baklava Croissant Guava and Rose Danish Beef Pho Kolache French Onion Danish Ube Salted Egg Snickerdoodle You can't go wrong with anything here. Honestly, the pastries are the best I've ever had. Staff is super friendly and excited to serve. Love that they have patio seating in the back because seating inside is limited.

Got the chance to try this award-winning bakery yesterday after seeing it on Facebook. The owner was being interviewed and after seeing his passion and some of the pastries, I knew I had to try it! The shop is really tiny. There isn't a lot of room for dining or even patrons in line. When I first walked up there were people waiting outside. All in all I think I waited probably about 20 minutes before ordering on a Saturday morning before nine. It wasn't too bad since the weather was OK. I was hoping to try the mango sticky rice danish I saw in some pictures, but I realize that the chef constantly changes the pastries. So I ended up going with a cheese, rose and guava danish. I think that was the best danish I've ever had not even kidding. It was perfect. The cream cheese was unlike any other cream cheese I've had before. Super smooth and creamy with a unique flavor. You could tell it was fresh and made in house. The guava and rose jam was also amazing. It was also a big danish so I couldn't finish the whole thing! I also tried the taro breakfast taco. That was really good! The green chili sauce was nice and spicy and flavorful and everything just worked really well together. I loved the taro in place of potato. Same texture as a potato but slightly different flavor loved it! Will definitely go back at some point to try another one of the desserts! Definitely worth it.

What a cute widow coffee shop. The servers were so nice and quick with my order. There was no confusion when I ordered some things to eat in restaurant and some things to go. All of the cutlery, dining sets and cups are on point. A lot of bad drinks can be made up by having a good cup. Fortunately that's not the case here I had a salty Cambodian that was delicious and in great glassware. I had a Chinese beef taco to curb my hunger, but I think I might choose something different. Next time I come back. My sweet tooth got away with me and I ordered a banana basque tart to go to try later.

Wow, I loved Koffeteria and it's definitely going to be a must-visit whenever I'm in Houston! For drinks I tried both the Tiger Uppercut and the Salted Lemon Soda. Both were really good. The soda was so refreshing. The beef pho kolache is amazing. The meat is so moist and tender. We sat in the back and we were able to have a chill and delicious breakfast. I can't wait to go back and try more of the baked goods.

This coffee shop has a lot of hype, and for good reason! Their food and pastries are amazing. I got the beef pho kolache (permanent menu) and the banana bread mochi (temporary), which were both delicious - I still think about the banana bread mochi. I also got the Salty Cambodian, which was a little less sweet than I was expecting but I still really enjoyed it. All their drinks look great and I'm excited to try more. The shop is not huge but does have a few indoor tables which are usually pretty full, with a much larger outdoor portion. The decorations are cute! The workers are prompt and nice. I plan to come back more in the future!
